Family of William Willis Tharnish

Fourth Generation

William Willis Tharnish was born on April 30, 1933, at Boston, New York^21,55,, the child of William Tharnish and Hazel Owens.  In his younger years, he was known as Billy, presumable to distinguish him from his father.

Billy lived most of his life in West Falls, New York⁷³.  He was proud to be known as a water well driller, and he was a lifelong horseman, raising, training and showing his horses, following a tradition in his family⁷³.  He was a life member of the West Falls Conservation Club, the American Quarter Horse Association, and the American Paint Horse Association⁷³.  He retired from Roswell Park Cancer Institute, where worked as a Carpenter⁷³.

Billy had at least three wives, the last being Claudia "Sam" Solly and he had five children.  He died at home in West Falls on June 2, 2012, following and lengthy battle with cancer⁷³.
