Johann Zöhler was born on March 11, 174169, at Mettnich, the son of Simon Zöller and Anna Maria Aatz. On July 26, 1760, Johann married Susanna Rech at Neunkirchen/Nahe, Fürstentum Birkenfeld. Susanna was born about 1742, the daughter of Jakob Rech and Eva Emmerich126. After their marriage, Johann and Susanna settled in her home town of Selbach, Fürstentum Birkenfeld, where Johann presumably took up farming. Susanna died at Selbach on April 4, 1804126, and Johann died there on July 18, 1822126.

Catharina was born January 12, 1772, at Selbach, the daughter of Johann Nikolaus Petri and Susanna Klein126. After their marriage, Johann Martin and Catharina settled in Selbach, where he took up farming. Johann Martin died at Selbach on April 29, 1840126, and Catharina died there on January 5, 1844126.
