Clare and Mildred Tharnish
Clare Arthur Tharnish was born on October 13, 189122, the third child of Martin Tharnish and Alice Perry. He grew up on the family farms, first in Arcade, New York and later in Sardinia, New York. On August 12, 1914, Clare married Jessie May Follman36. Jessie was born in April 1894, the daughter of John Follman and Rose Miller39. Clare and Jessie settle on the family farm, living with his mother who had been recently widowed.
On November 14, 1919, Jessie died from complications of child birth36.

| ii. | Gordon Tharnish | Gordon was born on November 27, 191721, and he died on June 17, 199621. Gordon married Dorothy Langless. |
| iii. | Jesse F. Tharnish | Jesse was born on November 14, 191921, and he died on June 26, 200021. Jesse married Arlene R. Langless. |
On November 13, 1924, Clare married Mildred C. Henry36. Mildred was born on July 13, 1903, in Union Township, Clermont County, Ohio, the daughter of J.P. Henry and Ella Green37. Clare and Mildred lived with his mother on the family farm. In May of 1935, Alice executed a deed of sale, which made her son a joint owner of the family farm25. Clare inherited the farm when his mother died in 1942, and continued to operate the farm for the remainder of his life.
Clare died on January 3, 196122, and Mildred died on July 18, 197322.
