Barbara Von Gerichten
Johann Jacob Von Gerichten was born on September 9, 1831, at Zeiskam, Pfalz, Bavaria, the son of Georg Adam Von Gerichten and Anna Maria Köhler107. About 1853, Jacob married Barbara Solman17,90. In 1882, Jacob and Barbara immigrated to the United States with their family. They settled in Boston, New York, where Jacob and two sons took up farming66. By 1900, Jacob and Barbara were living in Hamburg, where Jacob continued farming with his sons Henry17. The 1900 Census indicates that Jacob and Barbara had twelve children, seven of whom were alive in 190017.
Jacob Von Gerichten died in 190478. After Jacob's death Barbara lived with her son, Fred68, until she died in 191578.

Henry Von Gerichten
Henry Von Gerichten was born in October 21, 1877106, in Zeiskam, Pfalz, Bavaria, the son of Jacob Von Gerichten and Barbara Solman. He came to America in 1882, with his parents and siblings. Initially he worked on the family farm.
On February 19, 1902, Henry married Jessie Endress103, the daughter of Charles Endress and Emma Schlotzer. However, shortly after the birth of their child, Henry and Jessie divorced and Henry apparently left the area. Jessie later married Albert Faulring.

After leaving Jessie and their son, Henry Von Gerichten moved to California and, on March 15, 1916, Henry married Mabel Kerney at Los Angeles90. Mabel was born about 1887, the daughter of August Chamberlain and his wife Mabel. This was also her second marriage. They settled in Los Angeles where Henry was working as a salesman for C.C Morse& Co., a San Francisco company. In 1920, Henry was working as a traveling salesman for a wholesale seed company104, and Mabel was working as a hotel manager104.
Henry's marriage was relatively short, as Mabel died on April 28, 192391. By 1930, Henry had moved to Santa Cruz, where he worked as a real estate broker105.
Henry continued to live in California, where he died in Santa Cruz, on October 11, 195092.

Milton Henry Von Gerichten was born September 15, 190319, the son of Henry Von Gerichten and Jessie Endress. Shortly after Milton's birth, Henry and Jessie were divorced and Henry left his family. After Jessie married Albert Faulring in 1907, Milton was treated as his son, although he was probably not legally adopted69, and he used the Faulring surname throughout his life. Milton did not learn of his real father until about the age of 1569. Years later, Henry Von Gerichten reconciled with his son when he visited Milton in Toledo, Ohio69.

Milton graduated from Hamburg High School in 192210. His entry in the High School Yearbook gives a good picture of Milton's character and ability.
On July 3, 192569, Milton married Coral Lillian Davis, a native of Hamburg. Coral was born August 24, 190419, the daughter of George Davis and Laura Boldt. About the same time, Milton was employed by the Archer Daniels Midland Company and began his career with the company in Chicago, Illinois. By 1930 Milton and Coral were living in Toledo, Ohio, where Milton was manager of the company's plant70. In the succeeding years with Archer Daniels Midland, Milton was plant manager back in Chicago, Illinois; then he returned to Toledo, Ohio; and finally he was transferred to Edna, Texas69. After leaving Archer Daniels Midland, Milton partnered with his cousin, Ray Endress to establish Farmers Syndicate, a feed and grain company, in Cortland, New York10,69.
Coral Faulring was an artist, best known for her landscapes of rural New York State71.
After retirement, Milton and Coral moved to Hendersonville, North Carolina. Milton died there on July 21, 198819. Coral died on April 1, 200319, at Hilton Head, South Carolina. Milton and Coral had one daughter.
